A cidade: The city:
Paulo: Venha comigo; quero lhe mostrar a cidade. Come with me; I want to show you the city.
João: Para onde vamos primeiro? Where do we go first?
Paulo: Vamos para o centro. Há um ponto de ônibus ali na esquina. We are going to the city center. There´s a bus stop around the corner.
João: Temos tempo, vamos à pé, gosto de andar. We have time, let's walk, I like walking.
Paulo: Esta é a parte velha da cidade. Aqui, nesta calçada é o Correio. Do outro lado é a Prefeitura e em frente é a Estação Rodoviária. This is the old part of town. Here in this street is the Post Office. On the other side is the City Hall and in front is the bus station.
João: Esses prédios são antigos e bem conservados. Gosto deles. Minha esposa e meu filho também gostam de casas antigas. These buildings are old and well kept. I like them. My wife and my son also like old houses.
Paulo: Há uma Estação Rodoviária nova no subúrbio. Ela tem quatro andares e é moderna. There is a new bus station in the suburbs. It has four floors and is modern.
João: O aeroporto desta cidade também é moderno? The airport of this city is also modern?
Paulo: Sim, tem cinco anos. Yes, It´s 5 years old.
