Condicionales en Inglés Parte 3 - Curso de Inglés
El Conditional III se usa para expresar situaciones que no sucedieron en el pasado. Muchas veces se usa para criticar, opinar o señalar que algo debería haber sucedido. Es por esa causa conocido como el Condicional Imposible.
Condicional Imposible ¿Por qué?
Porque es imposible en estos momentos llevar a cabo la acción que se nombra; ésta solamente pudo haber sido llevada en el pasado y ya no es posible hacerlo.
Se utiliza en su formación would, could y should
Ejemplos
Ejemplo 1: Si hubiéramos /hubieses estudiado, habríamos aprobado el examen.
If you had studied, you would have passed the exam.
Ejemplo 2: Si hubieran/hubiesen venido, los hubiéramos recibido.
If they had come, we would have received let them.
Ejemplo 3: Ella podría haberse roto un brazo, si él no le hubiese advertido.
Shee might have broken an arm if he hadn't warned him.
Ejemplo 4: Si ella me hubiera/hubiese escuchado, no habría tenido ese accidente.
If she had listened to me, she wouldn't have had that accident.
Ejemplo 5: Si se hubieran quedado en caso esa noche fría, no se habrían enfermado.
If they had stayed at home that cold night , they wouldn´t have been ill.
Forma
La forma es una clause (If) + una Main Clause o al revés ( Main clause + if)

nota:
Nunca usamos would have, or wouldn't have etc con la clause If
Forma Detallada
If + sujeto + Past Perfect, sujeto + would + have + participio del verbo principal.
If I had taken her home earlier, she would have met her sister( o she wouldn´t have met her sister)
