Booking a hotel room over the phone:
Booking a hotel room in French is quite easy. The only thing you have to remember is the dates (the day is placed before the month) and how to spell your name (see the alphabet lesson).

F Note: - To say the date in French, you use le and add the number, followed by the name of the month, e.g. le cinq mai, 'the 05th of May'
- To say from one date until another, you say du, 'from the', followed by au, 'to the', e.g. du 05 mai au 10 mai.
- When you make a reservation, you may be asked to spell your name: “ Ça s'écrit comment ? “
F More hotel vocabulary:
Dans la chambre il y a: un lit, une salle de bain, un bureau, une télévision, un frigo bar, une table et deux chaises. /(In the room there is: a bed, a bathroom, a desk, a tv set, a fridge, a table and two chairs)
J’ai une réservation au nom de monsieur Dupont. /(I have a reservation under the name of M. Dupont)
Le Meurice est un palace 5 étoiles. /(Le Meurice is a 5 stars palace)
La suite est luxueuse. / (The suite is luxurious)
Le service de chambre est excellent. / (The room service is excellent)
Il y a un grand choix de délicieuses patisseries et pains français pour le petit-déjeuner. / (There is a large choice of delicious French pastries and breads for breakfast.)
Il y a un restaurant 3 étoiles dans l’hotel. / (There is a 3 stars restaurant in the hotel)
