About Linguim.com
Linguim is a website with a mission: to offer free language education to the world. This website is meant to be community driven, so I hope that many people will realize the importance of a project for sharing education with the world.
When was Linguim Launched?
Linguim was registered and created in my mind on October 8, 2011. By October 15 I had the script, the design and the first few articles. By November 1st this website had more than a hundred lessons. Yeah, I'm serious about this project.
In July 2015 Linguim.com got a new owner, a Finn. (The person, who wrote for example the above text, has been very, very busy as you might have noticed by the lack of updates.)
How can I contribute?
If you want to contribute, simply register and head to the section that you want to contribute in. You will find further information in the navigation bar.
Why is this Website Free?
Well, I love languages and I couldn't stand that whenever I wanted to find lessons I had to either pay or scroll through a bunch of useless advertisements just to get to the content. I want to change that - and even if I can help a hundred people learn a new language without having to pay, my effort will have been worth it.
How Many Languages will this Website Include?
My initial objective is four languages (16 sections teaching each language). However, I hope that I can expand this as more people are interested to help teach their native language.
